Why I’m Running for Plantation City Council

Service. Community. A Better Plantation.

Plantation is more than the city where I live. It is my home, the community where my family has built our life, and a place I have been proud to serve.

Throughout my life, I have believed that service means showing up.

I served our country in the United States Army. I have built a career as an attorney. I have spent countless hours volunteering, coaching our kids, serving with the Plantation Athletic League, and working alongside families throughout our community.

Now, I am asking for the opportunity to continue that service as your next Plantation City Councilmember for Group 4.

Why I’m Running

I’m running because I believe Plantation deserves leadership that listens to residents, asks tough questions, and never forgets who City Hall works for.

This campaign is about putting residents first.

As I talk with people throughout Plantation, I continue to hear concerns about the direction of our city—from public safety and development to traffic, homelessness, taxes, government accountability, and the decisions being made at City Hall.

We may not always agree on every issue, but residents deserve to know that their voices are being heard and their concerns are being taken seriously.

Public Safety Must Come First

Keeping our families and neighborhoods safe must always be one of the city’s highest priorities.

That means supporting our police officers, firefighters, and first responders and making sure they have the resources necessary to do their jobs effectively.

It also means approaching public safety with common sense.

I support keeping our children safe in school zones. But public safety should never become an excuse for government overreach or a revenue-generating money grab. I believe visible law enforcement, responsible traffic enforcement, education, and accountability should be focused on preventing dangerous behavior—not simply issuing more tickets.

Responsible Growth While Protecting Our Neighborhoods

Plantation will continue to grow, but how we grow matters.

Development should strengthen our community, not overwhelm our roads, change the character of established neighborhoods, or place unnecessary burdens on residents.

I will support responsible development that considers infrastructure, traffic, public safety, surrounding neighborhoods, and the long-term interests of Plantation.

We should welcome smart investment while remembering that Plantation is a community first—not simply another development opportunity.

Respecting Those Who Served

As a veteran, issues affecting our veterans are personal to me.

Our community should never treat honoring veterans as an afterthought. The men and women who served our country—and especially those who sacrificed greatly in that service—deserve our respect.

Plantation should be a city that proudly recognizes its veterans and backs that recognition with action.

Accountability at City Hall

Residents work hard for their money, and City Hall has a responsibility to spend taxpayer dollars wisely.

I will ask questions. I will examine the details. I will challenge decisions when necessary. And I will always remember that elected officials work for you.

Government works best when it is transparent, accountable, accessible, and responsive to the people it serves.

This Campaign Is About Us

This campaign isn’t about one person. It’s about the future of Plantation.

Over the coming weeks, I will use this blog to talk directly with you about the issues facing our city, explain where I stand, and discuss ideas for making Plantation an even better place to live, raise a family, work, own a business, and retire.

I entered this race because I believe I can make a difference, and I believe Plantation’s best days can still be ahead of us.

Together, we can build a safer, stronger, more accountable Plantation.
